Hsinchu
Hsinchu is the oldest city in the northern Taiwan. It is an important harbor city for both transportation and trading between northern Taiwan and Mainland China. The people in Hsinchu have developed traditional industries (glass and rice noodles) and prosperous commercial activities.
Since the year of 1980, the Science Park, known as the Taiwan's Silicon Valley, has attracted many high technology companies set-up their factories there.
Hsinchu City was the "Treading Center" of the near area. It is the first developed city of the north Taiwan. Now, it is also the technological city. With the rich nature sights and the high tech industrial, young people find good job opportunities and immigrate into the city.
