Selangor

Malaysia’s most populous and prosperous province, Selangor hugs the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia.

Selangor surrounds the vibrant bustling capital city of Kuala Lumpur and is the most modern of all the provinces, having its roots in tin mining, fishing or rubber plantations. On the surface it may not look to be the prettiest of provinces in comparison to some of its more rural counterparts, but you don’t have to look far to find charming fishing villages by the coast and mile upon mile of forest and hills as you head inland towards the heart of the province. There are also the well known Batu caves attracting thousands of visitors.

With the contrast between modern city, lush tropical rainforest, ancient mosques, caves, coastal fishing villages and natural reserves, Selangor offers a little bit of everything and is an interesting mix.
