Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu, is the state capital of Sabah, it is also the capital of the West Coast Division. Today the city's population is a mixture of many different races and ethnicities. The city consists of mainly Kadazans, Chinese and Bajaus.
Kota Kinabalu is a fairly new city and has only a few colonial remnants of an almost century-long British control. These include the old post office building and the Atkinson Clock Tower.
With many of its office buildings and commercial edifices sporting modern façades--some still with that fresh-paint look--and with construction-work going on at almost every major intersection, one could even be forgiven for assuming that KK was built just yesterday.
